A custom product-making shop in NuLu has expanded and opened a second location in Shelbyville.Maddox & Rose Marketplace provides customers an experience to make their own products by selecting and mixing their own scents. Products include candles, hand soaps, hand sanitizers, room sprays, sugar and salt scrubs and more.Maddox & Rose Marketplace opened its flagship store in NuLu in March of 2020, just before the world shut down. Co-owner Jamie Tronzo said support from the community has allowed them to open a second store. “We had always hoped to expand but you never know opening a new business and seeing how everybody is going to react to it,” said Tronzo. “But we’ve felt the support and we’re excited we’re able to expand and hopefully more locations to come.”Tronzo said she’s excited to be part of the fast-growing downtown Shelbyville.”They’re seeing a lot of people move out to Shelbyville, so we’re seeing a ton of walk-in traffic on the weekends,” said Tronzo. “People are wanting to get out and have an experience rather than buy something and leaving.”The shop in Shelbyville is open for walk-ins Friday, Saturday and Sunday.The NuLu location is open by reservation only, Thursday through Sunday.For more information, click here.
