At the university level, the adaptation of this method is known as Metaverse University.

Metaverse University was developed in 2003 under the name Second Life. This technology allows the teaching and learning process without face to face. This is expected to be able to reduce the spread of the virus and reduce the rate of transmission of COVID-19. Metaverse University itself has become increasingly famous because of Mark Zuckerberg who stated that Metaverse is a future world with bright prospects.

The existence of Metaverse University basically opens up opportunities for other technologies to begin to develop, in line with the need for using artificial intelligence based on the Internet of Things. It also has a great impact on the basic tasks and functions of humans as a brainwave. Through Metaverse University, the level of urgency of Artificial Intelligent is increasing.

Reflecting on this need, several academics have begun to combine AI technology with the Metaverse University concept. Jürgen Handke, a professor at one of the universities in Germany has succeeded in creating a humanoid robot that is able to take on the function of a teaching assistant. This robot is named Yuki. He is about 1.2 meters tall with a very approachable character. In addition, Yuki’s robot knowledge is very broad.

Through his inventions, Professor Jürgen Handke hopes that this digital technology can revolutionize the teaching methods that have been used for many years by the public at large. In addition, Professor Jürgen Handke also stated explicitly that the role of teachers and lecturers will never be replaced. This discovery is expected to be a means to facilitate and increase the mobility of teachers and lecturers in providing material in class, both within the network and outside the network.
